Bills Don't Field Kickoff, Jets Recover in End Zone for TD
If you were looking to sum up the 2016 Buffalo Bills in one play, this should do it.
In the final minutes of Sunday's regular-season finale, the New York Jets kicked the ball off following a field goal that gave them a 20-point lead. On that kickoff, they extended their lead even more, as the Bills bizarrely didn't field the ball.
The football found its way to a spot where no Buffalo player was and started bouncing toward the goal line. Knowing he would have been toast had he tried to pick the ball in the field of play, Bills running back Mike Gillislee let the ball bounce until it made its way into the end zone—only, he never picked the ball up.

New York was alert enough to dive on the ball and take advantage of Buffalo's mistake. The end result: touchdown.
The Jets cruised to a 30-10 victory to end a disappointing season on a high note.
