No. 15 Florida came into rivalry weekend with an outside shot of making the College Football Playoff, but those hopes came crashing down in Doak Campbell Stadium when No. 14 Florida State secured a 31-13 victory.

Dalvin Cook ran for 153 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries, Deondre Francois added 138 passing yards and two touchdowns and the Seminoles (9-3) registered 387 total yards against the stingy Gators (8-3). The win helped Jimbo Fisher get his sixth victory over Florida in seven tries and has Florida State in great shape for a New Year’s Six bowl game.

The Gators, much like they have all year, struggled offensively, managing just 198 total yards against DeMarcus Walker, Josh Sweat and Co. Austin Appleby completed just 17-of-32 passes for 140 yards, and the Florida offense was held without a touchdown against the Seminoles for the second consecutive year.
