The No. 8 Penn State Nittany Lions used a 30-point second half to dispatch the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Rutgers (2-9, 0-8 Big Ten) hung around on the scoreboard thanks to superb red-zone defense, limiting Penn State (9-2, 7-1) to just nine points during its first four trips inside the 20. However, an inept offense ruined the Knights' chances.

The Nittany Lions surrendered just 87 total yards on 50 snaps, handing Rutgers its fourth shutout of the season.
