Leonard Fournette Among Players Involved in LSU, Florida Pregame Scuffle
LSU running back Leonard Fournette was among those involved in a pregame scuffle prior to the No. 16 Tigers hosting the No. 23 Florida Gators on Saturday in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
As seen in the following video courtesy of the Daily Reveille's Joshua Thornton, Fournette got into a shoving match with Florida defensive backs coach Torrian Gray:
Ross Dellenger of the Advocate reported prior to the game that Fournette wasn't expected to play due to an ankle injury, but the junior decided to suit up, and SEC Nation reported he wanted to play because of the melee, per Dellenger.
Fournette has been hampered by injuries all season long, forcing him to miss three games. Despite that, he entered Saturday's contest with 803 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the year.
He rushed for 284 yards and three scores against Ole Miss last month after missing consecutive games and rushed for three touchdowns against Arkansas last week.
Saturday's tilt was supposed to have taken place Oct. 8 in Gainesville, Florida, but it was postponed and moved due to Hurricane Matthew and became a de facto home game for the Tigers.
