Ohio State vs. Michigan State: Live Score, Highlights for Buckeyes vs. Spartans
Ohio State 17, Michigan State 16—Final
It took a late stand by the Ohio State defense, but Gareon Conley sealed the deal with an interception in a 17-16 win at Michigan State on Saturday. The Spartans scored a touchdown with about five minutes left but were unsuccessful on the ensuing two-point conversion attempt. Michigan State got the ball back with two minutes remaining, but quarterback Tyler O'Connor threw his second pick of the game.
The Buckeyes leaned heavily on quarterback J.T. Barrett's rushing ability, as he carried 24 times for 105 yards. Running back Mike Weber went for 111 yards, and that total put him over 1,000 yards this season. The Ohio State defense gave up some big plays, but that unit got it done when it mattered most.
Spartans running back L.J. Scott put forth a dominating effort, rushing for a career-high 160 yards and adding 76 yards receiving.
The Buckeyes will head back home for their big showdown with Michigan next week, while Michigan State will travel to Penn State.
