Nike Air Jordan 1 'Black Toe' Release Date, Pictures, Price
Nike and Michael Jordan bless sneakerheads everywhere on November 5 with the return of the Air Jordan 1 "Black Toe" colorway.
Jordan's favorite shoe, the Air Jordan 1, continues to steal the show in 2016. This release splashes smooth blacks throughout the familiar design for an alternative take on a classic.

Nike.com detailed the inspiration behind the design: "In 1985, the Air Jordan 1 forever changed footwear. The silhouette that started it all now returns over three decades later, colored and constructed in true form. Paying homage to MJ’s early days in Chicago, the design returns in the original 'Black Toe' colorway."
From a design standpoint, everything fans of the legendary shoe have come to love still remains. The custom decal on the side, the swoosh that wraps around the back, the logo on the tongue—it's all here.

From a top-down perspective, the smooth black-on-white design of the inside makes a return. As for the bottom, the all-red everything with ridged designs stands out yet again as well.

It's a cohesive package for a shoe if there ever were one, and far enough removed from versions such as the original and "Bred" that it's worth a look on its own.

Sneakerheads have anticipated this one for a long time. It has been several years since this colorway hit shelves, so there's no time like the present for a return.
As an ode to some of the best shoes in history and the best player, the man who redefined signature shoes as a whole, the "Black Toe" is another screaming success for the Air Jordan 1.
