Louisville vs. Virginia: Live Score, Highlights for Cardinals vs. Cavaliers
Louisville 32, Virginia 25 — Final
Virginia had No. 5 Louisville on the ropes, leading it 25-24 late in the fourth quarter thanks to a gutsy two-point conversion call from Cavaliers head coach Bronco Mendenhall. But Lamar Jackson and the Cardinals offense came through in the clutch, going 75 yards in less than two minutes to score a go-ahead touchdown.
Jackson connected with Jaylen Smith for a 29-yard score, then hit Smith again for a two-point conversion to seal a 32-25 win.
Jackson was productive throughout, despite Louisville’s early struggles. The Heisman Trophy front-runner threw for 361 yards and four touchdowns while piling up 90 yards on the ground. He was the engine in an offense that struggled to consistently move the ball on an inspired Virginia defense.
The Cavaliers (2-6) had trouble consistently moving the ball. Kurt Benkert threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns, but a pair of untimely interceptions allowed Louisville to climb out of its early hole.
