Florida vs. Georgia: Live Score, Highlights for Gators vs. Bulldogs
Florida second-year coach Jim McElwain may be known as an offensive-minded head coach, but his Gators tenure has been stamped with a dynamic defense winning football games for him time after time.
Saturday was no different as the Gators smothered Georgia's running game and shut the Bulldogs down totally in the second half to win 24-10 in Jacksonville, Florida, in the renewal of a bitter rivalry.
The win gave Florida its third consecutive in the series.

The Gators took advantage of short fields all day as Georgia struggled to punt the ball, and they turned three of those poor kicks into touchdowns. Though UF quarterback Luke Del Rio didn't have his best effort in his homecoming (15-of-25 for 131 yards, one touchdown and one interception), he didn't have to be.
He's got Jarrad Davis, Teez Tabor and others on the other side of the ball to help him out. That group allowed just 21 rushing yards on 19 carries, eight total first downs and 164 yards of total offense.
The Gators had just 231 yards of offense, but that was more than enough to extend their streak in the series.
