D.J. Stephens Arrested: Latest Details, Mugshot, Comments and Reaction

Former University of Memphis and Milwaukee Bucks basketball player D.J. Stephens was arrested Wednesday night after he allegedly attacked his child’s mother, according to Yolanda Jones of the Commercial Appeal.

Jones noted Stephens was charged with domestic aggravated assault.

Jones cited the arrest affidavit and noted the incident occurred Monday evening. According to the woman, Stephens grabbed and pushed her during an argument and ultimately threw her on the ground multiple times.

She said Stephens fled on foot after she hit her head on the pavement.

According to Jones, Stephens is in jail with no set bond. He will appear in court Friday for a video arraignment.

Stephens played for the Memphis Grizzlies during the preseason but didn't make the final roster. He appeared in three games for the Milwaukee Bucks in 2013-14 as his only regular-season action at the NBA level after playing at the University of Memphis from 2009 to 2013.
