Oklahoma State 37, West Virginia 20. Game Over.

A pair of Big 12 contenders collided Saturday, as the West Virginia Mountaineers paid an unsuccessful visit to Boone Pickens Stadium against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

Turnovers were the difference in this Big 12 clash, as West Virginia threw a pair of picks and lost a fumble that led to 17 Oklahoma State points. With the loss, the Mountaineers' undefeated season fell, and Oklahoma State is now back in the conference title race.

Quarterback Mason Rudolph paced the Cowboys, as the junior threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns against an overwhelmed West Virginia secondary. Receivers Jalen McCleskey and James Washington found space all afternoon, with McCleskey totaling 66 yards and a score on 11 grabs and Washington reeling in six passes for 117 yards.

The Cowboys defense also stepped up despite entering the game among the worst units in college football. The team held West Virginia to just 10 points heading into the fourth quarter, and Mountaineers quarterback Skyler Howard was flustered all day thanks to a healthy pass rush and solid coverage.

Howard finished with 212 yards, one touchdown and two picks, while running backs Justin Crawford and Kennedy McKoy combined for 163 yards on the ground with Rushel Shell leaving early with an injury.

Oklahoma State will travel to Kansas State next week to continue its Big 12 push, while West Virginia will look to rebound against lowly Kansas.
