Russell Westbrook Avoids Talking About Kevin Durant's Warriors Debut
Russell Westbrook has been asked to talk about Kevin Durant nonstop since the former NBA MVP left the Oklahoma City Thunder for the Golden State Warriors back in July.
Now that the 2016-17 season is finally here, the Thunder star is ready to move on and just play basketball.
The NBA season tipped off Tuesday night, with the new-look Warriors getting the honor of playing on opening night. Oklahoma City, on the other hand, was not a part of the season's first slate of games, meaning the Thunder had some time to watch Durant's first game with his new squad if they so wanted.
Westbrook wanted no part of that (or at least he wasn't interested in talking about the game).
Durant (27 points, 10 rebounds and four assists) had a solid debut, but Golden State was blown out by 29 points on its home court. While the internet certainly had fun with Westbrook-Durant memes Tuesday night, the Thunder point guard wasn't taking the bait when reporters tried to get his thoughts on his former teammate's game.
