Vanderbilt 17, Georgia 16—Final

Derek Mason has his first SEC road win, as the Vanderbilt Commodores take down the Georgia Bulldogs 17-16. It was a solid defensive effort for both teams, but it was Vanderbilt that made the stop when it mattered. Georgia got the ball back with around three minutes left to play, but the stop by the Commodores on 4th-and-1 was the difference. 

Quarterback Jacob Eason played much better for Georgia in the second half, and he finished with 346 passing yards. Vanderbilt took away Georgia's run game, though, with the Bulldogs finishing with just 75 yards on the ground. It was a career day for Vanderbilt linebacker Zach Cunningham, who finished with 19 tackles in the winning effort. 

Georgia must regroup before facing rival Florida after an open week, while Vanderbilt will travel back home to take on Tennessee State.
