No. 10 Louisville's complete domination of No. 2 Florida State will thrust the Cardinals into the Top Five after a historic 63-20 beatdown, per ESPN:
Quarterback Lamar Jackson is the clear Heisman favorite after the first three weeks of the season.
He dissected Florida State's defense for 216 passing yards and added another 146 on the ground while scoring a total of five touchdowns. He is setting the bar high for quarterbacks across the nation:
| Completion Percentage | 59.7 |
| Passing Yards | 697 |
| Touchdowns | 7 |
| Interceptions | 1 |
| Passer Rating | 188.1 |
| Rushing Yards | 318 |
| Yards Per Rush | 9.9 |
| Rushing Touchdowns | 6 |
Florida State, on the other hand, could fall out of the Top 10 with such an embarrassing defeat. The Seminoles had to overcome a 22-point deficit to No. 19 Ole Miss during Week 1 to squeak out a 45-34 win too. So they haven't looked too comfortable at all in 2016.
That same Ole Miss team will be lucky to stay in the Top 25 after squandering another large lead Saturday. After jumping out to a 24-3 lead on No. 1 Alabama, the Rebels were outscored 45-19 to lose their second game of the season 48-43.
One of the largest upsets of the day all but ended Iowa's playoff hopes, as FCS power North Dakota State defeated the Hawkeyes 23-21 with a last-second field goal by Cam Pedersen.
It ensured the continuation of Bison dominance against FBS teams:
Despite being in the division beneath the FBS, North Dakota State is still eligible to garner AP Top 25 votes, per Ralph D. Russo of the Associated Press.
Given the losses of Iowa, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and Oregon, there is a possibility of five new teams making it into the Top 25 next week.
After Nebraska's 35-32 win over No. 22 Oregon to improve to 3-0 on the season, expect the Cornhuskers to make it in, while the top four leading vote-getters in Week 3 that didn't make the Top 25—TCU, Utah, San Diego State and UCLA—should find a way in after they all won.
