An exciting 2016 football season rolls into the second half of September as action heats up on fields across America. While the largest national spotlight lands on NFL and FBS competition, we keep a close eye on key high school developments each weekend at Bleacher Report.
College football prospects continue to put their skills on display at the prep level, validating established scholarship offers and proving worthy of increased consideration. Our latest update includes record-breaking performances and eye-popping efforts that produced statistics typically reserved for video games.
Here's a rundown of 10 recruits who dominated while leading their teams to victory.
4-Star RB Eno Benjamin

Recruitment Status: Committed to Iowa
Eno Benjamin emerged as one of the Lone Star State's most prolific offensive playmakers during his sophomore season (1,724 yards rushing yards and 27 touchdowns) and hasn't slowed since. The bell-cow back bludgeoned an overwhelmed North Forney High School defense Friday night en route to a 461-yard performance, according to David McNabb of the Dallas Morning News.
He totaled eight touchdowns in a 56-28 victory, finding the end zone on six of his 24 rushing attempts and adding two scores through the air. Benjamin, who should command immediate consideration for carries at Iowa, has accounted for 5,750 yards and 85 touchdowns on the ground during his high school career.

Composite Ranking: No. 9 dual-threat quarterback, No. 298 overall
Recruitment Status: Committed to Mississippi State
The Bulldogs will look for Louisiana quarterback Keytaon Thompson to help elevate offensive efforts in the future, and he's shown significant signs of potential through early stages of his senior season. The physically formidable prospect posted six total touchdowns Friday night, beating defenders as a runner and passer, according to Hank Brady of NOLA.com.
Thompson, who tallied 2,760 yards and 40 touchdowns in 2015, rushed for three scores and added another three through the air during a 42-20 win over St. Augustine. His 369-yard performance featured two 56-yard fourth-quarter scores (one rushing, one passing) to provide late separation on the scoreboard.

Recruitment Status: Committed to Alabama
Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban has seen several running backs earn starring roles during his remarkable run in Tuscaloosa, and Najee Harris could soon add his name to that list. The nation's top-rated recruit provided further evidence of his abilities Friday night throughout a 41-33 win over Rancho Cotate High School.
According to Lori A. Carter of the Press Democrat, Harris tallied 261 yards and four touchdowns on just 17 rush attempts, fueling the victory by ringing up 184 yards after halftime. His effort included scoring runs of 29, 33, 57 and 70 yards, and he has now accounted for 75 total touchdowns and 14 games of 200 or more yards since 2014.

Recruitment Status: Committed to LSU
Myles Brennan thrust himself into the state record books Friday night, eclipsing former St. Stanislauas star Dylan Favre atop Mississippi's prep list for all-time career passing yardage. His mark now stands at 12,795 yards following a 360-yard onslaught in his latest appearance, according to Patrick Ochs of the Sun Herald.
He completed 28 of 32 pass attempts during a 40-14 victory over D'Iberville High School, firing five touchdown tosses in just three quarters of action. Brennan, who trained with Favre's NFL Hall of Fame uncle Brett during the offseason, has now thrown 135 touchdowns since his sophomore season, per MaxPreps.

Recruitment Status: Committed to Washington
Connor Wedington makes a strong case as one of the West Coast's most athletic recruits, impacting games in a variety of facets. This past Friday, he showcased his rushing skills by gaining 273 yards on the ground, according to the News Tribune.
Wedington, who filled the stat sheet last season (2,135 all-purpose yards, 24 touchdowns and four interceptions, per MaxPreps), sprinted for five touchdown runs in a 42-0 victory over Curtis High School. He spearheaded an early surge for Sumner, bursting through the defense for two first-half scores of more than 60 yards.

High School: Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)
Size: 5'10 ½", 203 lbs
Composite Ranking: No. 2 dual-threat quarterback, No. 57 overall
Recruitment Status: Committed to Ohio State
The beat goes on at Bishop Gorman, where Buckeyes pledge Tate Martell remains unbeaten since transferring in before his sophomore season. He accounted for five total touchdowns Saturday night, snapping an 18-game win streak for Kahuku High School (Hawaii), per Mitch Stephens of MaxPreps.
Martell connected on four touchdown tosses and added another score on the ground, bringing his senior season total to 17 scores through four matchups. Bishop Gorman has now won 43 consecutive games, and its offensive leader continues to cement his legacy as one of this decade's most successful high school quarterbacks.

Size: 5'11", 191 lbs
Composite Ranking: No. 37 running back, No. 667 overall
Recruitment Status: Committed to Kentucky
Bryant Koback carried the ball 29 times during a 48-17 victory over Perrysburg High School, punishing opponents throughout to halt a 23-game league win streak. He churned out 374 yards and six scores in the contest, according to the Toledo Blade.
His touchdown runs came from near and far, plunging in four times within the 10-yard line and tacking on another pair from long distance (56 and 87 yards). Koback, who also holds offers from Syracuse, Indiana and Northwestern, continues to replicate the success of a strong junior season when he rumbled for 2,015 yards and 31 scores.

Jalen Mayden forces defenses to account for a dynamic skill set, and Copperas Cove High School simply wasn't up to the task this weekend. He shredded opposing game plans throughout a 48-16 win, finishing the contest with five total touchdowns, according to Brian Perroni of 247Sports.
His latest offensive explosion included four touchdown tosses—he compiled 360 passing yards on 17 completions—and a rushing score. Mayden, who broke out as a sophomore last season with 3,009 total yards and 36 touchdowns, is the younger brother of 2016 Alabama Crimson Tide cornerback signee Jared Mayden.

When news of Kalem Reddix's most recent performance reaches collegiate coaching offices, it may result in an increased wave of interest for the Mississippi pass-catcher. He recorded 13 receptions during a wild 63-55 win over East Central High School, racking up 214 yards in the process, per Patrick Magee of the Sun Herald.
Reddix reached the end zone six times, scoring on catches of three, 14, 17, 37, 38 and 41 yards. While this was his finest performance of the 2016 campaign, it's been a strong first month overall, as he's collected 12 touchdown catches through five games.

Size: 6'2 ½", 224 lbs
Composite Ranking: No. 4 pro-style quarterback, No. 49 overall
Recruitment Status: Committed to Georgia
Clemson quarterback and Heisman Trophy contender Deshaun Watson graduated high school in 2014 in possession of Georgia's all-time prep passing record (13,077 career yards), but Bulldogs commit Jake Fromm may soon threaten that mark. The Elite 11 finalist collected 394 yards through the air and seven total touchdowns Friday night in a 63-28 victory over Warner Robins High School, according to Ryan Jordan of Macon.com.
Fromm, who surpassed 400 passing yards in each of this season's first four games, now has 11,071 career passing yards and is the only Peach State player aside from Watson to eclipse 11,000 through the air. His latest aerial assault included six touchdown tosses and was augmented by a 27-yard scoring run.
