After a pair of touchdowns through the air, Jackson punched in a one-yard score as the first quarter expired to give the Cardinals a 28-0 lead after the ensuing extra point.
The second quarter consisted of all passing touchdowns, four of them to be exact, as the longest came in the form of a 32-yard connection with James Quick.
More impressively, Jackson's six touchdown passes went to six different receivers in the half.
In total, he put up 405 yards combined, as SB Nation's Rodger Sherman broke down his dominance:
According to ESPN.com's David Hale, only eight quarterbacks in the last 10 years have put up games of 400 total yards and eight touchdowns. Campus Insiders downplayed his performance in tongue-in-cheek fashion:
Jackson is already halfway to his passing touchdown total from last season, as he put up 12 scores in 12 games along with 11 rushing touchdowns in 2015.
While it might only be against a non-power-conference team, Jackson has grabbed the college football world by the scruff of the neck, forcing everyone to take notice.
