Zinedine Zidane's side have had a relatively quiet summer, but they didn't take long to get off the mark in the new season, as Gareth Bale put them ahead with a thumping header after just two minutes.

Real doubled their lead shortly before half-time when Raphael Varane's long-range pass found Marco Asensio, who lifted a beautiful finish over Geronimo Rulli in the home goal.
