Andres Iniesta Injury: Barcelona Star Injures Knee vs. Sevilla
Their La Liga season has yet to begin, and Barcelona are already dealing with an injury to a key player.
Andres Iniesta exited Sunday's Spanish Super Cup first-leg clash against Sevilla in the 35th minute to make way for Denis Suarez. Sport reported the midfielder is battling a knee injury.
The club confirmed the 32-year-old suffered an injury but didn't specify the nature of the problem. He collided with Sevilla defender Mariano and went down clutching his right knee.

He was the second player to quickly bow out, with Lucas Digne replacing Jeremy Mathieu in the 26th minute.
As Sky Sports Statto noted, Iniesta climbed into second place (594) on Barca's all-time appearance list Sunday. It'll be a while until he overtakes Xavi Hernandez for first place (869 overall and 767 in official competitions).
Iniesta's importance to the side goes without saying. Neymar, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez are a deadly attacking trio, but the midfield is what ties the entire Barca attack together.
The club isn't without creativity in the midfield, and it added Andre Gomes from Valencia earlier in the summer.
Manager Luis Enrique could use one of Gomes or Suarez to pair with Ivan Rakitic in central midfield should Iniesta be forced to miss any time.
