Mumbai sealed their place in the final of the 2016 Indian Premier Futsal League with a 4-2 victory over Kolkata after Angelott Caro produced an inspired performance at Peddem Sports Complex, Goa.

The Colombian netted a stunning hat-trick and supplied another assist to help Ryan Giggs' side reach the tournament showdown on Sunday.

There they will meet surprise package Kochi, after Michel Salgado's men downed Cafu's Goa 2-1 after a brace from star player Bruno Chaguinha.

Recap

For the Marquee Players, this clash pitted legendary Manchester United winger Giggs and former Argentina international Hernan Crespo against one another.

With one minute remaining in the first quarter, Angelott broke the deadlock with a smooth finish following fine buildup to score his fifth goal in as many games, per Nishanth of SportSkeeda.

He would add to his tally immediately following the short break, as he made Pula pay for his mistake to put his side 2-0 ahead.

On the stroke of half-time, the game looked out of sight for Kolkata as they conceded once more. Their attacking style continued to leave their defenders open at the back, and they were punished when Angelott fed team-mate Kevin Ramirez. The playmaker cheekily found the back of the net through the legs of the opposition goalkeeper Cidao.

But the match would soon tighten up following the break. Kolkata burst back into life with a two-goal reply through Vander Carioca's volley and a toe-poke from Gabriel to make the scoreline 3-2.

Kolkata could sense a complete turnaround was on the cards after their impressive comeback, as captured by Premier Futsal:

With the outcome of the match now hanging in the balance, the next goal felt decisiveand that proved to be the case. After patient ball retention, it was Mumbai who netted a fourth goal of the game after a mix-up by Gabriel.

Caught in possession, the ball eventually fell to Angelott with the goal gaping. The Colombian couldn't fail to miss with no goalkeeper between the sticks as he rolled his shot over the line to put the Reds into the final of the competition.

Premier Futsal noted how Angelott was awarded for his stunning performance in the last-four stage:

Elsewhere on semi-final night, two iconic right-sided defenders met as Salgado's Kochi played Cafu's Goa.

Unfavoured ahead of the tournament start, former Real Madrid full-back Salgado has led his side admirably and deservedly secured his side's spot in the competition's final.

The first quarter was an uncharacteristically slow-tempoed affair, with little chances of note on offer for either side. However, with 13 minutes on the clock, Kochi took the lead through Chaguinha. The Brazilian star struck a powerful shot past Bebe to put his side in front and on their way to the final.

Kochi were the happier of the two sides entering the break with a narrow 1-0 lead, but it wasn't to last long. Within a minute of the restart, Vampeta sent the home crowd into raptures with a fine strike to level the scoreline.

Goa now looked on the offensive as Vampeta once more stung the fingertips of opposition goalkeeper Casalone. However, it was Goa's own stopper who proved to be the difference between the two sides as Bebe made a huge blunder to allow Chaguinha to net his second of the game.

The Brazilian celebrated with fans after the game, per Premier Futsal:

Despite striking the inside of the post in the dying minutes, Goa were unable to find an equaliser—even after swapping their goalkeeper for an outfield player.

Salgado's Kochi march on to the final where they'll meet Giggs' Mumbai on Sunday in Goa.
