Premier League Confirms 2016-17 Fixture List Hoax Ahead of New Season
The Premier League has confirmed a list that seemed to outline the fixtures for the 2016-17 season doing the rounds on social media is a “hoax.”
Per ESPN FC, a document was posted on various platforms containing the entire agenda for each team, although in a statement, the Premier League has denied the validity of the schedule.
“We understand the excitement that a new set of Premier League fixtures holds to the fans and media," the statement said. "What has been put into the public domain over this last weekend is a hoax.”

The fixtures are set to be officially announced by the league on June 15.
Although the previous term only came to an end last month, anticipation is high for the start of the next season to see whether surprise champions Leicester City have what it takes to defend their crown.

Additionally, there will be a host of new managers in charge of elite clubs. Jose Mourinho has been named as the new Manchester United boss, and his history with Pep Guardiola, who will be in charge of Manchester City, is likely to be a huge talking point in the months to come.
Antonio Conte will be the man tasked with rejuvenating a toiling Chelsea team, while all eyes will be on Jurgen Klopp to see how he fares in his first full season at Liverpool.
After finishing runners-up in 2015-16, Arsenal will also be keen to kick on, while third placed Tottenham Hotspur face a challenge to build on their brilliant year.
