Former WWE Villain Paul Heyman Names One Of His Favorite Movie Rouges

Akvar MindonesSep 30, 2009

In the world of Twitter, the constant need to feed the beast for content seems rather tiresome for some celebrities, and a fun way to promote your projects for others.

Paul Heyman has always been known as an innovative marketer. His guerrila marketing of ECW in the 1990s got him named one of the prestigious Top 100 Marketers in the world by Advertising Age magazine.

Now, the Prime Minister of Extreme Hype has taken to the web to promote his project, which happens to be an Internet project named The Heyman Hustle (www.heymanhustle.com).

Partnered with a Park Avenue pioneer in the hi-def business, Mitchell K. Stuart of Looking For Larry Productions in NYC, Heyman's website is a look at everything pop culture, from pro wrestling to UFC, with plenty of his old pal Brock Lesnar all over the place, and lots of Hollywood blog style pics of pop tarts Aubrey O'Day, Holly Madison, and Taylor Momsen. All three, by the way, have been guests of Heyman's on his talk show, also named The Heyman Hustle.

Heyman has now started testing the waters of Hyping Via Tweets, and has thrown a real bone to those who analyze his moves. In a tweet posted today, Heyman's webmaster promoted a story about movie star and hip hop artist Common (http://heymanhustle.craveonline.com/articles/news/22029-the-2nd-annual-qcommon-an-friendsq-concert-is-a-major-success-in-hollywood) by letting it be known that Heyman was a big fan of Common's performance as "Ivy" in the 2006 Jeremy Piven vehicle "Smokin' Aces."

Heyman has, in the past, spoken at ECW fan gatherings and on the radio about great heel performances like Alan Richman in "Die Hard," Gary Oldman in "The Professional," Lena Olin in "Romeo is Bleeding," Gary Oldman again in "True Romance," and even James Cagney in "Angels with Dirty Faces."  Oh yeah, he's also praised the woman who played The Wicked Witch in "The Wizard of Oz."

Now Heyman is using Twitter to drop little tidbits on those he features on his website.

It's just another example of a master marketer at work.
