NHL Playoffs 2016: Full Conference Finals Schedule and Latest Stanley Cup Odds
The San Jose Sharks have made it to the NHL's version of the Final Four.
The conference finals are both set, as the San Jose Sharks rolled over the Nashville Predators 5-0 in Game 7 of their second-round playoff series Thursday. The Sharks won all four of their home games, and while they couldn't win a single game in the Honky Tonk, it didn't matter because the Predators were unable to break through at the SAP Center.
The Sharks will meet the St. Louis Blues in the Western Conference Final, but unlike the second-round series, the Sharks will not have home-ice advantage. The series will get underway Sunday at the Scottrade Center.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will meet the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Final. The series will open Friday night at the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, and the Penguins will have home-ice advantage after beating the Presidents' Trophy-winning Washington Capitals in the second round.
The Lightning are coming off back-to-back one-sided triumphs, as they defeated both the Detroit Red Wings and New York Islanders in five games in the first and second rounds respectively.
While both series should be compelling, it's hard not to be captivated by the Western Conference Final. The Blues and the Sharks have both overcome past playoff difficulties this season.

The Blues had lost three straight first-round series prior to this year, but they beat the defending Stanley Cup champion Chicago Blackhawks in seven games in the first round and Central Division winners the Dallas Stars in seven games in the second. The Blues have been road warriors in the playoffs, rolling to a 5-2 record away from home. They ripped the Stars 6-1 in Dallas in Game 7.
If the Blues make the Stanley Cup Final, they would be making their first appearance at that stage since 1970, when they were defeated in four straight games by Bobby Orr and the Boston Bruins. Orr's famous flying goal came against the Blues in the Stanley Cup-clinching game in that series.
The Sharks have been known for past playoff failures, but the 2014-15 season was even worse, as they did not even make the playoffs. They beat the Los Angeles Kings in five games in the first round and were pushed to the limit before overpowering the Predators in the final game of their second-round series.
The Sharks have never been to the Stanley Cup Final.

The Penguins ended the regular season by winning 14 of their final 16 games. They punished the New York Rangers in five games in the first round before beating the Capitals. As a result of their hot regular-season finish and impressive performance to this point in the postseason, they are the 19-10 favorites to win the Stanley Cup, according to Odds Shark.
The Blues are fairly close behind at 217-100, while the Sharks are 121-20. The Lightning are the most rested team in the playoffs, and they are 19-4 to win the Stanley Cup.
