Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs: Live Score, Analysis for Game 5

The San Antonio Spurs entered the 2016 NBA playoffs as the presumed favorites to face the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals.

Apparently, nobody told the Oklahoma City Thunder. 

Tuesday's 95-91 win in San Antonio officially puts OKC in the driver's seat. With a 3-2 series lead, the Thunder are headed back home where they went 32-9 on the year—not to mention where they'll look to punch their ticket to the postseason's penultimate round.

As much as this game was defined by occasional sloppy play and momentum-inducing runs in both the first and second halves, the story here is Russell Westbrook. The do-it-all point guard tallied 35 points (12-of-27 shooting), 11 rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 39 minutes.

Although his game-clinching bucket will make for the most compelling water-cooler discussions tomorrow, you can't ignore what he was able to do throughout the entire contest. As ESPN Stats & Info pointed out after the performance, he is the only player to record at least 35 points, 10 rebounds and five assists during a playoff game in San Antonio.

He also crossed Patty Mills onto his backside in transition, which to be fair will also be a water-cooler topic in the morning.

For the Spurs, Kawhi Leonard gave us exactly what we've come to expect, leading San Antonio with 26 points, six rebounds, four assists and, in true "Klaws" fashion, five steals.

LaMarcus Aldridge, for all his troubles shooting (6-of-21), tied Danny Green (7-of-10) for next-best scoring honors with 20 points.

As this series shifts back to Oklahoma City, the Spurs look to avoid the upset with the Thunder now owning both home-court advantage and momentum.
