Undrafted NFL Free Agents 2016: Latest Details on the Biggest Signings
NFL teams won't stop looking for ways to improve just because the 2016 NFL draft is over. Plenty of general managers are working the phones Saturday night to sign players who went undrafted.
ESPN's Andrew Brandt noted the process started before the draft even ended as teams projected which names were likely to be available:
This time last year, the Seattle Seahawks were in the process of adding running back Thomas Rawls. The 22-year-old appeared in 13 games, rushing for 830 yards and four touchdowns. With Marshawn Lynch retired, Rawls is in line to be the starting running back in Seattle in the upcoming season.
Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict is another success story, making the Pro Bowl two years after he slipped out of the 2012 draft.
While teams aren't guaranteed to find value, the undrafted free-agent market always has one or two gems. Here's a list of some notable stars who are currently available:

Saturday, April 30
ESPN.com's Adam Caplan broke news of an agreement between the Baltimore Ravens and Harvard offensive lineman Anthony Fabiano. He will give the Ravens some flexibility on the O-line with his ability to slot in at either guard or center. Baltimore could benefit from having a backup option behind John Urschel at left guard.
MAC Wideout Heading to Big Apple
Saturday, April 30
Shortly after the draft ended, Bowling Green wide receiver Roger Lewis announced he had agreed to a deal with the New York Giants:
In two years with the Falcons, Lewis caught 158 passes for 2,638 yards and 23 touchdowns. His 1,544 receiving yards in 2015 were second in all of FBS.
The Giants selected Oklahoma wideout Sterling Shepard in the second round, picking up a solid slot receiver to line up opposite Odell Beckham Jr. Adding Lewis further strengthens New York's passing game ahead of the 2016 season.
Gronkowski Brothers to Clash in AFC East
Saturday, April 30
Kansas State fullback Glenn Gronkowski announced Saturday he signed with the Buffalo Bills:
"Staying home. Go bills!
— Glenn Gronkowski (@ggronko) April 30, 2016"
If he makes Buffalo's final roster, Gronkowski will see his brother, Rob, at least twice this season when the Bills face off with the New England Patriots.
He could also be the fourth Gronkowski brother to appear in a regular-season game. In addition to All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski, Dan Gronkowski and Chris Gronkowski each spent three years in the league.
Bills Add Sooners Star
Saturday, April 30
The Buffalo Bills moved quickly to sign one of the most talented linebackers available. SportsTrust Advisors, the agency representing Oklahoma Sooners linebacker Eric Striker, announced Striker signed with Buffalo.
Striker was a three-year starter in Norman, making 191 total tackles in his four years at Oklahoma. He also recorded 46.5 tackles for loss and 23 sacks.
Bills head coach Rex Ryan will have to figure out whether he wants to use Striker as an outside linebacker or more of a hybrid safety. Given his defensive expertise, he should be able to maximize the former Sooner's skill set in his 4-3 scheme.
Patriots Address Passing Game with Former Sun Devil
Saturday, April 30
Arizona State wide receiver D.J. Foster announced Saturday he's signing with the New England Patriots.
Foster is the kind of multifaceted playmaker who could thrive under Patriots head coach Bill Belichick. He ran for 2,355 yards and caught 222 passes for 2,458 yards in his four years at ASU.
Over time, New England could use Foster similar to how it integrated Shane Vereen into the offense or how James White and Dion Lewis contributed to last year's team.
Foster could grow into a nice receiving option out of the backfield in a few years.
