NHL Playoffs 2016: Live Stream Schedule, Stanley Cup TV Guide and Saturday Picks
There's significant pressure on the Tampa Bay Lightning as they prepare to play Game 2 against the New York Islanders in their second-round series.
The Lightning were ordinary in the early part of Game 1, and the Islanders jumped on them for four goals and drove Ben Bishop out of the net. While the Lightning played better in the second half of the game, they dropped the opener 5-3.
The last thing head coach Jon Cooper wants to see is his team fall into a deep hole by dropping the first two games at home. If they are going to avoid that, they need Bishop to return to his normal strong form. They are also going to have bury their opportunities against New York goalie Thomas Greiss.

Cooper is confident Bishop will shake off his poor performance on Saturday. "He's shown a propensity, when [he has been pulled], he has a bounce-back game," Cooper told NHL.com correspondent Corey Long. "The kid bounces back so I'm not worried."
Even if Bishop returns to his top form, he has his work cut out for him because Islanders captain John Tavares has been so effective in the playoffs. Tavares, who scored the tying and winning goals in the decisive Game 6 of his team's opening-round series against the Florida Panthers, has scored six goals and 11 points in seven postseason games.
Unless the Lightning find a way to slow him down, he could have another big night and give the Islanders offense another jolt of energy. Tavares has gotten support from Kyle Okposo (seven points), Brock Nelson (five points) and Franz Nielsen (five points).
Additionally, Shane Prince has three goals for the Islanders. He provided two goals in Game 1 against the Lightning, and if Isles coach Jack Capuano can continue to get contributions from unexpected areas of his lineup, the Islanders will be tough to beat.

The Lightning need their top line of Nikita Kucherov, Tyler Johnson and Alex Killorn to solve New York goalie Greiss. That trio has combined for 22 points in six playoff games, and it has the speed and quickness to score multiple goals in a short period of time.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are not at home, but they don't want to fall too far behind the Washington Capitals in their second-round series Saturday.

The Penguins dropped a 4-3 overtime game in the first outing of the series, as veteran winger T.J. Oshie scored a hat trick.
The last of his three goals came in the extra session, and it was a quick shot that barely got past Pittsburgh goalie Matt Murray. A video review showed the puck had crossed the goal line by centimeters.
The Penguins have been firecracker hot, as they went into this series having won 14 of their last 16 regular-season games and four of their five playoff games against the New York Rangers.
However, momentum in the playoffs can be fleeting, and if Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin and company go down 2-0, the Pens may have a tough time getting it back against the powerful Capitals.
Crosby did not have his best game against the Capitals in the opener, going minus-three on the night. Despite that performance, Crosby is not down on himself.
"You don't like being on for goals, definitely not, but I've had a lot worse games and didn't end up dash-three," Crosby told NHL.com columnist Dan Rosen. "As a line you have those nights where it just feels like a line dominates and you could easily be dash-three. That didn't feel like one of those nights."
Crosby has three goals and eight points in six playoff games, and he is fully capable of leading his team to a huge road win.

Predictions
Look for the Tampa Bay Lightning to come out on fire and try to intimidate Greiss with a barrage of shots in the first period. The Islanders goaltender has gotten the job done for his team throughout the playoffs, but he will find himself trailing by a 2-1 margin after a period.
New York will tie it up in the second, but look for Johnson to score twice in the third period as the Lightning win 4-2 and level the series.
The Capitals probably figure they will be able to defend their home ice, but the Penguins are not going to let this game get away.
Pittsburgh has a ton of speed, and look for the Pens' quickness to pay off in this game. Crosby, Malkin and Kris Letang will score in Game 2, evening the series with a 3-1 victory.
