Gray Team 28, Scarlet Team 17—Final
On a brilliant and sunny day in Columbus, Ohio, the Gray Team came out on top of the Scarlet Team in Ohio State’s spring game, using 21 unanswered points in the first half to cruise to a 28-17 victory.
Backup quarterback Joe Burrow guided the Gray Team, throwing three touchdowns (two of which went to redshirt freshman Torrance Gibson) to lead the way. His third touchdown went to Terry McLaurin, who raced 47 yards to seal the game.
J.T Barrett played in just the first two quarters and struggled with a makeshift wide receiver unit and offensive line, throwing no touchdowns and two interceptions.
For the second consecutive year, Buckeyes fans set a record for spring game attendance. Last year, more than 99,000 came out to see the Buckeyes. On Saturday, the Buckeyes eclipsed 100,000, according to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports.
