94-Year-Old Lou Sossamon Scores TD at South Carolina Alumni Game

Kyle NewportApr 9, 2016

As former South Carolina star Lou Sossamon proved on the football field this weekend, age is just a number.

The Gamecocks played their annual spring game Saturday and also held an alumni game. That's when the 94-year-old Sossamon showed he's still a gamer.

Sossamon, the first South Carolina player named to an All-American team, took a handoff a few yards from the goal line and followed his blockers into the end zone for a touchdown. Again, he's 94.

A moment like this is worthy of another look:

Sossamon was a linebacker and a center during his playing days, but for one play Saturday, he looked like an All-American running back.
