In a titanic clash of petrodollar-fuelled football, Paris Saint-Germain hosted Manchester City in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash on Wednesday evening.

After a lively start, the Parisians had the opportunity to take an early lead when Bacary Sagna conceded a penalty to David Luiz. Zlatan Ibrahimovic stepped up to take it and saw his shot saved by Joe Hart:

In the 38th minute, Zlatan was made to pay for his miss (and several other misses) when Kevin De Bruyne put the visitors ahead: 

However, City had only two minutes to enjoy their away goal, as a terrible error from Fernando allowed Zlatan to pounce:

Just before the hour mark, PSG took the lead when Adrien Rabiot tapped in after Hart had parried away an Edinson Cavani header:

In the 72nd minute, a game that had been defined by questionable defending saw its fourth goal when Fernandinho capitalised on some sloppy defending to equalise:
