The Dallas Mavericks maintained their position in the Western Conference standings following an 88-78 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on the road Sunday.
Getting the victory was important for Dallas, since it meant the Mavs kept pace with the Utah Jazz, who beat the Phoenix Suns.
J.J. Barea scored 20-plus points for the third game in a row, dropping 21 on Minnesota. Devin Harris came off the bench for Dallas to score 16 points and dish out three assists.
