Jack Wilshere Questioned by Police After Being Thrown out of London Nightclub
Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere was subjected to police questioning following an incident outside a London nightclub, according to the Daily Mirror's Russell Myers. The report said Wilshere was "thrown out" of Cafe de Paris on Saturday morning but that no arrests were made.
The incident was apparently sparked by an alleged row between the oft-injured Gunners star and an unnamed promoter. Myles provided details:
"Shortly before 2am it is understood he became embroiled in an argument inside the club which spilled out onto the street.
A man, understood to be a London nightclub promoter, accused the £90,000-a-week star of striking him and was heard confronting the player as he tried to walk away.
Wilshere has strongly denied any accusation of assault.

An eyewitness provided an extended account of what took place on the street:
"Jack Wilshere came out of Cafe de Paris and stormed across the road. There was a lot of screaming and shouting between his pals and another group, it was complete chaos.
Another man was accusing Jack of assaulting him, he was shouting and definitely trying to get a reaction from the Arsenal player.
Suddenly around six police officers appeared out of nowhere and luckily split the two groups up, taking them down an alleyway littered with rubbish to speak to them.
[...]
The police kept him there for about half an hour before one his pals got him a taxi and the police escorted him to the waiting cab.
"
The report said Wilshere cooperated with the police without protest, despite his denial of the accusation. But, as Myers also noted, this episode is unlikely to cast the player in a positive light, especially after previous issues involving his discipline during a stop-start Arsenal career.
Manager Arsene Wenger has had to deal with the midfielder being seen smoking more than once. Myers has reported the club intends to speak to Wilshere about the events in London.

It doesn't help that the gifted 24-year-old has been forced to spend so much time away from the pitch. The ultra-brittle midfielder hasn't played in this campaign after suffering an ankle injury in the preseason.
But Wenger still expects big things from his diminutive No. 10. He recently urged England boss Roy Hodgson to take the young playmaker to Euro 2016, according to James Olley of the London Evening Standard.
This incident is bad timing after Wilshere recently made a return to full training for Arsenal, per the club's official site.
