Saturday night's matchup between the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls carried playoff implications with the two teams within 1.5 games of one another in the standings.
The Pistons entered the game sitting seventh in the Eastern Conference. Two spots further down sat the Bulls.
A win wouldn't guarantee a Chicago climb into the top eight, but the team can ill afford a defeat, especially to a conference rival, at this stage of the regular season.
The Bulls did themselves few favors with a 94-90 defeat to the Pistons. Jimmy Butler posted a triple-double in a losing effort, scoring 28 points, grabbing 17 rebounds and dishing out 12 assists.
Reggie Jackson scored 22 points to lead the Pistons, with Tobias Harris chipping in 21 points of his own.
