Durant Reaches 60 Straight Games with at Least 20 Points

Bleacher Report MilestonesApr 1, 2016

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant had 31 points in Thursday's 119-117 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, giving him 60 consecutive regular-season appearances with 20 or more points, per Elias Sports Bureau (via ESPN Stats & Info).

His ongoing run is the fourth-longest of its kind since the NBA-ABA merger in 1976-77, trailing Michael Jordan's streaks of 72 games (1987-99) and 69 games (1990-91), in addition to Kobe Bryant's more recent streak that lasted 63 games (2005-07).

Durant last fell shy of 20 points in a Nov. 10 win over the Washington Wizards, scoring just 14 points over 17 minutes in a contest that he had to exit early because of a leg injury.

He then missed the following six games, but he's scored at least 20 points in every appearance since his return, and he's only missed two contests during the streak.

Durant actually had a similar streak earlier in his career, reaching 20 points in 56 consecutive games between Dec. 22, 2013 and Dec. 2, 2014, per Basketball-Reference.com's play index.

Arguably even more impressive, the aforementioned streak included 41 straight games with 25-plus points, spanning from Jan. 7, 2014 to Apr. 6, 2014, per the same play index.
