Tom WebbMar 25, 2016

Feyenoord's friendly with Sparta Rotterdam on Thursday was brought to a temporary halt in the 14th minute for a touching tribute to football legend Johan Cruyff.

The referee's whistle signalled the start of the gesture, as the players, fans and coaches from both sides came together to applaud in memory of a man who changed the game of football everywhere.

Cruyff, who died on Thursday, is best known for his successful spells with Ajax and Barcelona, but he finished his playing career with a stint at Feyenoord in 1983/84.
