Pele Film to Appear in Cinemas in the USA on May 6

The long-awaited biopic telling the life story of Brazilian legend Pele has been given an official opening date, and it will appear in U.S. cinemas on May 6.

Pele is widely considered to be one of the greatest footballers of all time, having won three World Cups and scored over 1,000 goals across a distinguished career.

The film was originally intended for release before the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, but delays meant that was not possible.

Instead, Pele: Birth of a Legend will hit cinemas this May ahead of the Copa America centenary tournament in June.
