UK Back Pages: Arsene Wenger Told to Spend, Mike Ashley Regrets Newcastle Buy

Much has been made over Arsene Wenger's future at Arsenal after the club was knocked out of the FA Cup and the UEFA Champions League last week. 

And with their title chase hanging on by a thread in the Premier League, should they fail there too, surely there will be plenty of questions regarding whether the Frenchman's historic reign will come to a close.

The Sun reports that Wenger will be given an ultimatum over the summerspend some of the club's vast cash reserves on strengthening the side or else:

Meanwhile, Newcastle United boss Mike Ashley says in the Mirror that he wishes he had never bought the relegation-threatened club. 

The paper also reports that Vincent Kompany will avoid getting the axe from incoming manager Pep Guardiola at Manchester City this summer:

In spite of Ashley's claims, in Metro, he says he won't step away from the club, even if they are relegated. 

The paper also reports that there's no escape clause in Guardiola's contract if Manchester City miss the top four and that Italy head coach Antonio Conte's rumoured Chelsea contract talks are on hold:

The Guardian looks at Gary Neville's situation at Valencia and reports that the Englishman will be gone over the summer, as he's struggled with the club:
