The Associated Press (via Yahoo Sports) relayed comments from a spokesperson for Malaga's Hospital Regional, who said Samuel was in "serious but stable condition." The report also said police were investigating the incident, according to Alhaurin spokesman Salvador Ferrer.
Samuel remains in the intensive care unit for "precautionary reasons," per Marca's report. One of El Palo's assistants was also reportedly injured after being struck in the leg, per La Opinion de Malaga.
According to AS, the assistant was "trying to bring peace" but his injuries are not life-threatening.
