Harry Kane and Dele Alli Have Combined for Most Goals in Europe's Top 5 Leagues

"Harry Kane goal, Dele Alli assist." Not an unfamiliar sentence for Tottenham Hotspur fans this season.

The 19-year-old English midfielder assisted his countryman's second goal in Sunday's 3-0 Premier League win over Bournemouth, moving the pair ahead of the chasing pack in terms of successful combinations this season, according to Opta Stats (via Goal.com).

Kane and Alli have combined for seven goals this term, making them the most prolific duo in Europe's top five leagues.

Behind them in the Premier League are Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud, Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney and Gerard Deulofeu and Romelu Lukaku, who have each combined for six goals this season.

Those three pairings have even produced more goals than the league leaders in Italy, Spain, France and Germany (who have five each):

  • Gonzalo Higuain and Marek Hamsik (Napoli)
  • Neymar and Luis Suarez (Barcelona)
  • Cedric Bakambu and Roberto Soldado (Villarreal)
  • Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Paris Saint-Germain)
  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gonzalo Castro (Borussia Dortmund)

Whether or not Spurs can maintain their title challenge and lift the Premier League trophy in May, Kane and Alli's partnership is sure to be an encouraging one for English fans with Euro 2016 just around the corner.
