EPL Table: Updated 2016 Standings, Top Scorers After Saturday's Week 31 Results
Neither Everton's Romelu Lukaku nor Leicester City's Jamie Vardy were able to increase their respective tallies at the top of the Premier League scoring charts on Saturday. Both players drew a blank, but Vardy did see his team increase its lead at the top of the table to eight points.
That came courtesy of yet another Riyad Mahrez strike for the Foxes. The prolific winger beat Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park and is now up to 16 goals this season.
Here are the final scores from Saturday's games:

Riyad Mahrez, 16 Goals
Mahrez struck when he met Vardy's low cross into the box with an emphatic first-time finish. The Algerian's touch was exquisite and invaluable, sending the Foxes eight clear of Tottenham Hotspur.
The goal also made Mahrez unmatched on the continent among free-scoring midfielders, according to Squawka:
While Leicester have emphasised a mean defence in recent matches, it's the partnership up front that has fired City up to the top of the table. Mahrez and Vardy are both threats to score or create a scoring chance every time they touch the ball.
Their combined numbers in front of goal are frightening, as WhoScored.com revealed:
For Vardy, those numbers are merely the continuation of the fine form he exhibited during the latter stages of last season, per Squawka:
The goals have dried up a little recently for the joint-leading scorer in England's top flight. But Vardy has discovered an underrated niche as a source of supply:
With their two front men in such fine form, the Foxes are showing no sign of losing their nerve at the top of the table.
Romelu Lukaku, 18 Goals
Everton's talisman in attack remains at 18 goals after barely seeing the ball during the Toffees' 2-0 home defeat to Arsenal. The Gunners denied Lukaku the opportunity to test their suspect defence with his pace and power because of the way they maintained possession.
A great example of Arsenal's comfortable and intelligent use of the ball came from the intricate buildup to the opening goal, scored by Danny Welbeck after a neat interchange between Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
BBC Match of the Day detailed the stylish, multipass move:
On the rare occasions Everton did get on the ball, the midfielders tasked with supplying Lukaku found themselves stymied. Arsenal's strong base of two holding players in the middle, Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin, nullified a mercurial playmaker such as Ross Barkley.
In particular, numbers from both Squawka and WhoScored.com show how Coquelin consistently thwarted Everton's attempts to get the ball forward:
Toffees manager Roberto Martinez shunted Lukaku onto the left more often after the break. But the lack of both support alongside him and creativity behind him, meant the usually prolific 22-year-old was kept quiet.
Arsenal may have thought they'd forced their way back into the title race, only to see Mahrez keep Leicester in firm control. But the Gunners did get a boost when old boy Cesc Fabregas bagged a brace to help Chelsea earn a 2-2 draw with West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.
That result gives Arsenal a five-point lead over the Hammers in the race for a top-four spot and qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League.
Everton won't hit those heights, despite the brilliance of Lukaku. It's brilliance the Toffees risk wasting unless the supporting cast does its bit more often.
Now Tottenham's Harry Kane can reach the top spot in the scoring charts by keeping Spurs in the title race when they host Bournemouth on Sunday.
