If the task ahead of Arsenal was insurmountable on Wednesday, the challenge for their north London rivals might have been even greater.

Tottenham Hotspur hosted Borussia Dortmund in the last 32 of the Europa League on Thursday looking to overhaul a 3-0 first-leg deficit.

Goals by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Marco Reus (2) had given Thomas Tuchel's men an all-but-unassailable lead going into the reverse at White Hart Lane.

Aubameyang virtually put Spurs out of the tie after 25 minutes with a superb goal from distance to make it 4-0 on aggregate.
