Europa League Results 2016: Qualified Teams After Thursday's Round of 16 Games
Liverpool dumped bitter rivals Manchester United out of the UEFA Europa League after earning a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford on Thursday night to secure a 3-1 aggregate win in the last 16.
The Reds are now the last remaining Premier League side in the competition after Borussia Dortmund confirmed their dismantling of Tottenham Hotspur by winning 2-1 at White Hart Lane. The 5-1 aggregate scoreline is an accurate reflection of the Bundesliga outfit's dominance over two legs.
La Liga trio Villarreal, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla also booked their places in the last eight of this season's UEFA Europa League. They were joined by Sparta Prague, Shakhtar Donetsk and Basel.

Recap
United took a while to get going in front of a nervy Old Trafford crowd. But just after the half-hour mark, Anthony Martial coolly dispatched a penalty he'd won to put the Red Devils back in the tie.
It was a second goal in as many matches for Martial, something the ex-Monaco ace hasn't managed since his early days with United, according to OptaJoe:
But the Manchester club really owed a debt of gratitude to goalkeeper David De Gea after the Spanish stopper brilliantly denied the visitors more than once early on. The tournament's official site detailed De Gea's early form:
Yet despite De Gea's stubborn streak, Brazilian schemer Philippe Coutinho wouldn't be denied. He bagged a stylish equaliser on the stroke of halftime, after dancing his way off the left flank and into the box, before chipping over a deceived De Gea.
Here's the classy finish, per BT Sport Football:
That worthy goal ultimately won the tie and piled the pressure on beleaguered United gaffer Louis van Gaal.
Speaking of pressure, Bilbao heaped more misery on struggling Valencia boss Gary Neville when Aritz Aduriz bagged the all-important away goal. The towering veteran striker has been on red-hot form for the Basque club this season, per Squawka:

Part of his run has been created by bossing Europe's second-tier competition, according to WhoScored.com:
Aderlan Santos and 20-year-old forward Santi Mina had found the net for Valencia, but it wasn't enough.
While Los Che couldn't keep things tight at the back, Villarreal rediscovered their miserly streak at just the right time. Manager Marcelino's team had been unusually suspect defensively in recent games, conceding five times during La Liga defeats to Las Palmas and Sevilla.
But the Yellow Submarine was formidable in denying Leverkusen in Germany. Playmaker Karim Bellarabi was among those consistently frustrated for the hosts.
With a stingy back line and some veteran quality up front, in the form of Roberto Soldado, Leo Baptistao and Adrian Lopez, Villarreal can't be ignored as a strong contender for the trophy.
One unlikely player in the race is a Sparta Prague side that obliterated Serie A outfit Lazio in Rome. Borek Dockal, Ladislav Krejci and Lukas Julis each found the net for the Czech Republic side to seal an impressive 4-1 aggregate result.
Squawka detailed Sparta's brilliant form in this season's tournament:
A quick-fire Kevin Gameiro brace on the stroke of halftime sent holders Sevilla on their way to a comfortable aggregate win over Swiss side Basel. The French forward found the net twice in the space of a minute after centre-back Adil Rami had opened the scoring.
Those goals have helped mark a career-best for Gameiro, per OptaJose:
Elsewhere, Braga saw off Fenerbahce after a 4-1 win in Portugal, while Shakhtar Donetsk battled to a bad-tempered 1-0 win over Anderlecht in Ukraine. The game saw one player dismissed from each side, as 33-year-old defender Oleksandr Kucher saw red for Shakhtar, while Serigne Mbodji walked for Anderlecht soon after.
Eventually, a stoppage time winner from former Arsenal man Eduardo eased Shakhtar's passage through.
Those in the last eight will be wary of drawing a Dortmund team blessed with awesome firepower up front. But keep an eye on cagey Villarreal, a side with the nous to surprise the favourites.
