Manchester City progressed to the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals for the first time with a 3-1 aggregate win over Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday, but the celebrations were marred by yet another injury to Vincent Kompany.

The Belgian captain's latest setback dominates many of Wednesday morning's back pages, including the Guardian:

Kompany's unhappy exit from the field also features on the back page of the Times. The lead story, however, is Arsene Wenger's claim that he has single-handedly transformed Arsenal during his two-decade reign:

The Daily Mirror leads with Kompany's injury but previews the Gunners' clash against Barcelona with Dani Alves' claim that the north London side "lack character and mental strength":

The Sun laments the injury that will prevent Kompany from participating in the Manchester derby at the weekend and reports Wenger's assertion that he will not step down from his role:

The beautiful game also makes it to the front page of the Sun but for a less than beautiful reason. A photographer spotted MK Dons midfielder Samir Carruthers appearing to urinate into a glass at the Cheltenham Racecourse before pouring it out over a balcony:

The Daily Star leads with Kompany and Wenger while also reporting Antonio Conte's £75 million shopping list for his future Chelsea role. Apparently, the Italian manager wants to bring Arturo Vidal, Leonardo Bonucci and Radja Nainggolan to Stamford Bridge:
