Old Lady Teaches Bayern a Lesson
A second-half revival of epic proportions in the first leg saw Juventus battle back from two goals down to seal a 2-2 draw against Bundesliga behemoths Bayern three weeks ago, setting up a tense clash in Bavaria this Wednesday.
It was something of a rare sight to see these two teams concede two goals apiece in Turin, too, particularly after Squawka highlighted their status as two of Europe's stingiest defensive outfits:
Juventus have no choice other than to chase a victory at the Allianz Arena owing to the fact their opponents notched two away goals in the reverse leg, and Massimiliano Allegri's team have been in fine form of late.
In fact, the official Champions League Twitter account recently testified to their impressive displays of late, and Juve's 1-0 win at Sassuolo on Friday secured them a frightening record—at least from a Bayern perspective:
Pep Guardiola's men, on the other hand, have gone through a rough patch of late, and their draw at Juventus was the start of a tumble that's seen them win just two of their last five outings.
One of those results was a 2-1 defeat at home to Mainz, a result Juventus will undoubtedly have heard of. The Italians are bound to see their once-indestructible-looking opponents as more vulnerable foes now, and a shock is there for the taking.
Prediction: Bayern Munich 1-2 Juventus (Juventus win 4-3 on aggregate)
Gunners Fire Blanks at Barcelona
It seems like Wednesday's second-led tie at the Camp Nou will be a matter of pride more than anything else for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who has beaten the Blaugrana just once in his previous eight meetings.
Lionel Messi's brace helped put Barca ahead in north London last month, but despite bringing a 2-0 lead back to Catalonia for the second-leg tie, the Argentinian knows his team aren't safe just yet, per the Mirror's Jack Lang:
"Arsenal have players more than capable of scoring goals. We have put ourselves in a very good position to progress and to reach the quarter-finals but none of the players are thinking that the job is finished.
Of course we know the danger that Alexis Sanchez can bring but that is only one of many top quality players they have. The style they play is the most similar to that which we play at Barcelona and for that we have a lot of respect for them.
"
It's that kind of humility that's likely to ensure the success won't stop coming for Messi & Co. anytime soon, and a 6-0 win over Getafe on Saturday saw the team extend their unbeaten run to 37 matches.
It's precisely the kind of victory manager Luis Enrique was hoping for prior to the crunch collision against Wenger's Arsenal, and One Football suggested the Premier League titans are in trouble this week:

It's difficult to disagree with such an assessment, and a flurry of injuries means Wenger will struggle to field a full-strength side on Wednesday, never mind capable of defeating Europe's in-form team.
Not only that, but the Gunners are likely to come up blank against the Spanish powerhouse once again when they visit the Camp Nou,
Prediction: Barcelona 2-0 Arsenal (Barcelona win 4-0 on aggregate)
