Chelsea Transfer News: Latest on Marquinhos, Antoine Griezmann, Oscar Rumours
Chelsea are reportedly set to make Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos a "priority" target this summer, but the Brazilian could set them back over £40 million.
That's according to Sport (h/t talkSPORT), which noted that the Blues "are ready to spend big to land him" ahead of Manchester United.
There will be a vacant centre-back position up for grabs at Stamford Bridge next season, and Marquinhos may well be tempted by a move away. He is currently not guaranteed a starting berth at the Parc des Princes, with compatriots Thiago Silva and David Luiz often ahead of him or forcing him to play at right-back.

French football expert Andrew Gibney rues the fact that he's behind Luiz in the pecking order:
He is an accomplished defender for his age and comfortable in possession.
The 21-year-old has won 54 per cent of his tackles and 53 per cent of his aerial duels in Ligue 1 this season, according to Squawka, as well as making 22 interceptions and a staggering 67 clearances—all while maintaining an impressive 93 per cent passing accuracy.
Such a price tag may be high for a player of his age, but he's already well on his way to becoming the complete package at centre-back and is destined to be a star in the future, so if Chelsea can prise him away from PSG, they'll be unlikely to regret it.

Chelsea are also hoping to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann—once again in competition with United—according to talkSPORT. However, he told French radio station RMC (h/t talkSPORT): "For the moment, in terms of my career plan, it is to try to go as far as possible in the Champions League and to win the Euros. I am only thinking about that, and I do not want to leave [Atletico]."
The Frenchman has risen to prominence with Los Rojiblancos in recent years and has become one of the most prolific goalscorers in Spain after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, as noted by Squawka Football:
Even this season, in which Diego Simeone's side have often struggled for goals, he's netted 22 in all competitions and has provided five assists.
As OptaJose revealed, the 24-year-old is particularly good at opening the scoring—a vital skill:
Griezmann may well be lured away from the Vicente Calderon at some point, but it seems for now he's content to stay.
Lastly, Chelsea playmaker Oscar is continuing to attract interest from Juventus, for whom he has been a target for some time now. According to Simon Jones for the MailOnline, the Bianconeri sent sporting director Fabio Paratici to scout him at Stamford Bridge in the match with PSG.

Like many of the Blues' players this season, Oscar has struggled to shine, though he has accrued eight goals and four assists for his troubles.
Chelsea have a wealth of options in attacking midfield, so it would hardly be a disaster if he were to go, but he's certainly a useful player to have around.
Alternatively, Jones reported that Chelsea want to sign Juve's Paul Pogba—which perhaps indicates a swap deal could be agreed.
Pogba's departure seems almost inevitable, so a quality player of a similar position going the other way would benefit Juventus enormously, while for the Blues' losing Oscar but gaining the Frenchman would still improve their squad.
