EPL Table: 2016 Week 28 Top Scorers After Wednesday's Premier League Scores
None of the main contenders for the Premier League golden boot managed to add to their respective tallies on Wednesday night, but the results had a huge impact on the title race as three of the main contenders all lost to give leaders Leicester City the edge.
Arsenal blew a golden chance to reassert themselves when they were beaten at home by Swansea City on a night when rivals Manchester City dropped precious points at Anfield in a rematch of the Capital One Cup final, while Tottenham Hotspur were blanked by West Ham United.
Here are the final scores from Wednesday's fixtures:

Trailing West Ham at the break, Spurs saw prime goal-getter Harry Kane miss a sitter at the start of the second half. It was an inexplicable gaffe from the normally ruthlessly efficient No. 10.
Kane missed another excellent chance late on as the Hammers kept a wasteful Spurs side at bay to cement their challenge for a UEFA Champions League place.
Spurs' north London rivals couldn't beat their nerves at the Emirates Stadium. Joel Campbell actually put the home side in front after combining brilliantly with Alexis Sanchez.
For the latter, it was a first creative contribution in a long while, per Squawka Football:
But despite dominating, the Gunners were breached by Wayne Routledge from the Swans' first credible chance. After that, an already-fractious home crowd became restless as a timid Arsenal side lived dangerously on the pitch.
Olivier Giroud and Sanchez hit the bar either side of half-time, and the frustration continued to build.
It reached boiling point when Swansea centre-back Ashley Williams won it for the Welsh side to all but end Arsenal's title bid and pile the pressure on beleaguered manager Arsene Wenger. It seems like a painful end to the Frenchman's distinguished career is now inevitable.
Problems up front have been a season-long curse for Arsenal. A look at Giroud's recent dire form sums up those issues:
Another misfiring striker was Watford's Odion Ighalo. He wasted a series of excellent chances as the Hornets dominated at Old Trafford but left with nothing to show for it once Juan Mata struck a late free-kick.
Stuart Mathieson of the Manchester Evening News noted how Ighalo's continuing drab form let United off the hook:
United's gain was twofold as City were hammered on Merseyside.
Liverpool thrashed the League Cup holders to exact revenge for their recent penalties loss at Wembley. Adam Lallana, James Milner and Roberto Firmino got the goals. WhoScored.com detailed how vital the Brazilian has been in the final third:
City's title bid now looks over, but Wenger will be cursing missing such an inviting chance to stay alive in the race.
