Wayne Rooney and Rory McIlroy Bet over Outcome of Carl Frampton vs. Scott Quigg
Wayne Rooney and Rory McIlroy have agreed to place a bit of a wager over the result of Saturday night's boxing fight between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg.
The two will square off in Manchester, England, for the IBF and WBA super bantamweight titles, and the England and Manchester United captain is confident of a victory for 27-year-old Bury, England, man Quigg:
But the Northern Irish golfer doesn't agree, making his allegiance known by tipping his countryman to upset the local fighter:
That was when Rooney decided to put his money where his mouth is, proposing a bet on the outcome of the fight.
The fight, which will see two undefeated Britons unify a world title for the first time, is expected to start at around 10:45 p.m. GMT on Saturday.
