Lebanese GK Makes AFC Cup Blunder, Reportedly Investigated for Match Fixing

Al Ahed coach Bassem Marmar summed up his side's AFC Cup loss to Altyn Asyr on Tuesday rather accurately, per Eurosport: "We made serious defensive mistakes and conceded goals as a result."

Hassan Bittar was particularly guilty of a quite unforgettable "serious defensive mistake" that put their opponents in front in the first half.

The AFC Cup is the second tier of Asian football's continental club trophy, and Al Ahed are the defending Lebanese champions.

Their goalkeeper allowed a tame backpass from Nour Mansour to roll underneath his boot and into the back of the net in one of the more horrible blunders of the year.

And to make matters worse, according to 7Sport, the incident has since been flagged with FIFA's anti-corruption unit due to a flurry of bets placed on Altyn Asyr.

The Turkmenistan double-winners, who are making their debut at the tournament, went on to win the match 2-0.
