Nicklas Bendtner Fined by Wolfsburg for Picture Next to Wrong Brand of Car
Nicklas Bendtner has seemingly fallen foul of Wolfsburg's rules and picked up a fine for posing next to a Mercedes.
The Denmark striker's innocuous-looking Instagram picture did not please the club sponsors, Volkswagen.
Bendtner's post, above, suggested that he was on his way to another training session in the car.

Wolfsburg's sporting director Klaus Allofs was quoted as saying that the image was "careless," and the fine coming his way no great shock:
"We have our rules, one of those being that you must pay attention to how you are photographed in public. The rules are not new. It's misconduct and it's careless, which at the end of the day will cost him money."
Bendtner has fallen down the pecking order at the club, and his contract expires in the summer.
