UK Back Pages: Louis van Gaal, Manchester United Pillaged for Embarrassing Loss

Just when things couldn't get any worse, Manchester United fell to tiny Danish side Midtjylland in the Europa League. 

What a time to be alive. 

The Red Devils were thoroughly humbled on Thursday evening in Denmark, as the hosts fought back after Memphis Depay's opener to get out of the first leg with a 2-1 advantage heading to Old Trafford. 

Only a matter of days removed from a defeat at lowly Sunderland in the Premier League, Louis van Gaal is absolutely pillaged in Friday's papers. 

Only a sensational claim in the Daily Mirror that China offered Manchester United £27 million for Wayne Rooney, along with £500,000-per-week wages for the star, spares Van Gaal from being the centre of every paper's vitriol.
