Scarf angst has been a real fixture of late.

First there was the pre-emptive assumption that Jose Mourinho would take over at Manchester United, followed by the lightning-fast production of Pep Guardiola scarves at Manchester City—despite the fact that he is not yet manager.

And now, in United's trip to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, the world has been appalled once more by footballing neckwear.

As spotted by the Mirror, some fans just couldn't separate their allegiances between the Red Devils and Chelsea, despite the fact that the two clubs have been domestic and continental rivals for decades.
