Manchester City are the side most represented with four players, while city rivals United have no players in the mouth-watering team.
John Terry features at the back, with Pirlo comparing the likely-departing Chelsea captain with another Italian legend:
"You get players like Maldini for Milan who are so much more than a man on the field, they are part of the club. These are the types of player that are impossible to replace," perhaps serving a warning to the Stamford Bridge bosses who appear reluctant to offer Terry a new contract.
On Arsenal playmaker Ozil, the New York City FC midfielder was full of praise:
"[He's] Maybe the most creative player in Europe right now. Creates an unbelievable amount of chances for attackers playing ahead of him. He has vision like nobody else in Europe."
High praise indeed.
