A Detailed Look at Jordan Brand's Melo M12 Model
New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony will always be considered one of Jordan Brand's perennial athletes. Since he joined the company in 2003, his sneaker line has become synonymous with on-court excellence and technologic progression.
That's why we were more than thrilled to get our hands on a pair of the latest Melo-inspired effort pushed out by Jordan Brand, the Melo M12.

The first thing we loved about the M12 was that it provides plenty of support. Starting with the midsole and traveling all the way up to the ankle, this shoe is responsive and durable.
Basketball enthusiasts won't have to worry about their ankles giving out. Lateral movements become fluid and effortless in this shoe thanks to a strong frame and an improved cushioning system, dubbed "Zoned Cushioning."

Pushing the conversation forward, the Melo M12 is a remarkably lightweight sneaker. That's mainly due to the fact that a strong mesh material has been stretched over the bulk of the shoe, shedding any and every ounce of excess weight.

You have to tip your cap to the design team tasked with producing this sneaker. They did a wonderful job bringing everything together in a cohesive and constructive manner.
One narrative that piqued our interest when we put the shoe on was just how well the M12 fits. There are no awkward pockets of space your foot can get lost in while navigating around the court. That's a genuine plus for overly aggressive athletes who spend their free time driving to the hoop.
All of the positive traits we've talked about so far stem from the addition of an advanced traction system. Running your hands over the sole of the shoe allows you to feel all of the various laser-etched grooves and compartments Jordan Brand has incorporated.
That specific pattern imposed onto the sole allows an individual to stop on a dime without slipping or losing control.

Jordan Brand has always managed to provide Anthony with a strong basketball sneaker. His signature line has grown so much since he first joined Team Jordan. However, most consumers run into issues with these shoes based on vanity.

You have to remember, these are performance sneakers. The cut and shape of the Melo M12 was solely manufactured to benefit athletes. Plus, with so many great colorways emerging, consumers are bound to find a version they like.
Those familiar with the Melo line or people looking for an alternative sneaker this year will enjoy the Melo M12. It's definitely a natural and welcomed addition to Jordan Brand's growing arsenal.
